Safety Direct's complete line of lightweight harnesses are manufactured in Canada and have a proven track record for comfort and durability.

The CROSSOVER STYLE HARNESS is a patented design where the front D-ring is fixed in place and will not migrate upward. It does not have a horizontal chest strap like a parachute style harness, allowing increased mobility and easier access to front pockets. This style is ideally suited for the female body form. Every harness has three adjustment points for the legs, chest and torso. Leg straps are offered with standard quick connect buckles or optional grommeted fasteners. Red and black polyester webbing is standard, or custom colors can be special ordered. The Kevlar® and maximum visibility webbing is available in one color only. Also available with a small oval link in place of the front D-ring.

Certification

All harnesses meet or exceed CSA Z259.10-06 certificaton and comply with ANSI Z359.1-1 2007.

Sizing

Standard capacity is one person weighing up to 310 pounds (141 kilograms) including the weight of tools and clothing. All of our harnesses are available in custom sizes from Small to 4XL. For capacities over 310 pounds (141 kilograms), please contact us.

Materials

Harnesses are constructed from synthetic webbing because of it's superior strength and consistency.

  1. Nylon (Polyamide) is a strong and cost effective material suited to most fall arrest applications. It has good strength to weight ratio, good abrasion resistance and is unaffected by alkalis.
  2. Polyester has superior strength and chemical resistance when compared to nylon.
  3. Kevlar® has similar strength properties to polyester with added resistance to heat, flame and sparks.
  4. Maximum Visibility has five rows of reflective material on both sides of the blaze orange polyester webbing.
